Made-to-Measure Process
We adapt a proven pattern to each woman's proportions for balance and fit, applying the collection’s established construction so each garment performs exactly as intended. Made-to-Measure suits women who want clothes that feel made for them. Our workshop can also rework a favourite piece so it fits again. The result is a refined, reliable route to a tailored wardrobe with pieces designed to be worn for years.

Step One
The client submits an enquiry via the site, specifying pieces from The Suit Edit or The Office Edit. Brenda Beverley confirms receipt and proposes a convenient appointment to establish a concise brief covering intended use, styling references, and timing. We post fabric swatches for examination in natural light before the consultation. The confirmation sets the time and place and lists the samples, sketches, and references that will be available at the meeting.

Step Two
At the consultation, Brenda meets the client in person or on Zoom and presents a curated selection of swatches and proportion studies. The client handles samples in natural light or reviews pre-shipped swatches to judge weave, weight, and drape. Sketches illustrate how details are applied to the body, while precise measurements are taken and entered into the client’s personal fit file. The discussion resolves pockets, linings, trouser rise, and sleeve length.

Step Three
From the recorded measurements, the cutter drafts the pattern. The workshop constructs a toile in plain cloth to test balance, posture, and movement and to allow exacting adjustments before cutting the final fabric. When a toile is required, the cutter transfers its refinements to the final blueprint to secure the intended silhouette. The construction and fabrication of many suits in the collection allow a direct cut in the finished fabric.

Step Four
Brenda invites the client for a first fitting to observe movement and mark technical refinements. Fittings take place at the client’s home, a preferred meeting place, a hotel suite. The maker checks the shoulder set, sleeve length, balance, and allowance for movement, and confirms practical wear so that hems, pockets, and linings perform as intended. The maker annotates each change and issues precise instructions to the cutter and finisher for execution.

Step Five
At the final fitting, the maker assesses how cut, cloth, and finish perform together and notes any final refinements required for optimal fit and comfort. The workshop completes modest adjustments promptly to enable same-day collection when feasible. The atelier offers secure courier and shipping, and supplies tailored care instructions with every garment. Fit notes and the pattern file remain on record to support future commissions and alterations.
